Fissler is the test winner at Stiftung Warentest.
Fissler’s Original-Profi Collection® is the top-rated stainless steel cookware set
Idar-Oberstein, February 28, 2022. In the March 2022 issue of its magazine, Stiftung Warentest put 17 stainless steel cookware sets to the test. Fissler’s Original-Profi Collection® came out as the clear test winner, outperforming products from Elo, Zwilling and WMF, among others. Fissler’s successful cookware range is made entirely in Germany and was tested alongside the other ranges in the categories “Cooking performance,” “Handling,” “Energy consumption” and “Durability,” earning an overall quality rating of “good (1.9).” This puts the test winner well ahead of the other brands in the test, whose ratings start at 2.2.
The Original-Profi Collection® particularly impressed the testers in the most important categories, “Cooking performance” (rated 1.7) and “Handling” (rated 2.1). These categories examined features such as heating and cooling times, heat distribution across the base, the instructions for use, the temperature of the pot and lid handles, and ease of cleaning. “Durability” was rated “very good” with a score of 1.5.
Stiftung Warentest explains its award for the Fissler range as follows: “The test winner is the Fissler Original-Profi Collection, priced at 530 euros. The pots, with the thickest base, retain heat very well, distribute it evenly and are highly durable.” The range, with its iconic, timeless design, features Fissler’s CookStar® base for optimal heat distribution and has previously received the iF Design Award and the Kitchen Innovation Award.
The 5-piece Original-Profi Collection® set consists of three cooking pots, a Dutch oven and a saucepan. It is made from recycled premium stainless steel in Neubrücke, Germany, and performs just as well in professional kitchens as it does at home. “I’ve been a fan of Stiftung Warentest for years and often follow its recommendations.
