Guide to cooking pots

Quality features

What makes a good cooking pot?

With cookware, quality matters - because cooking is an expression of appreciation. That is why Fissler also relies on premium quality.

High-quality material: pots made of stainless steel

To make sure you enjoy your pots for as long as possible, they should be made from a material that is especially dimensionally stable and resistant to heat, alkalis, acids, and corrosion.

That is why Fissler makes its pots primarily from recycled premium stainless steel and aluminium.

Top-quality pot base

The base is the core of a pot. A high-quality pot base is defined by fast heat conductivity, which reduces cooking time, especially on induction hobs. Even heat distribution supports excellent cooking results and helps prevent localized scorching. Fissler places particular emphasis on quality and functionality:

The

  • Fissler CookStar® base is suitable for all hob types and optimized for induction. It is extra thick and solid, giving you optimal heat absorption, distribution, and retention. The
  • Superthermic® base is also suitable for all hob types, including induction. It provides even heat absorption, distribution, and retention.Cool-touch handles

Fissler Stay-Cool metal handles, stainless steel handles with heat buffer, and plastic handles stay pleasantly cool while cooking on the hob. The ergonomic pot handles sit comfortably in your hand and provide a secure grip when carrying and moving the pot on the hob.
The handles on Fissler pots stay

pleasantly cool and are always safe to hold.

Depending on the model, Fissler stainless steel pots have different handles:
Stay-Cool metal handles

  • (Original-Profi Collection® pots): the solidly crafted handles stay at a comfortable grip temperature for an exceptionally long time during use on a standard household hob (<50 °C). The heat-insulating transition between the pot body and handle plate provides extra safety.Stainless steel handles
  • with heat buffer (Bonn pot): silicone rings reduce heat transfer from the pot body to the handles. This keeps the handles pleasantly cool even during longer use on the hob. (Viseo® pot): the heat-conducting properties of stainless steel ensure that the handle temperature always stays pleasantly cool.
  • with heat bufferPerfectly fitting lid

A high-quality lid is defined by

material quality and and precision fit.

Depending on the model, Fissler offers different types of lids:

  • Metal lids made of premium stainless steel with Condensate-Plus function (Original-Profi Collection® pots only), whose slightly concave shape lets condensed steam drip back into the pot, making food even juicier and more flavorful.
  • Metal lids made of high-quality stainless steel, which are easy to clean and oven-safe up to 230 °C.
  • Lids made of tempered glass (Bonn and Viseo® pot), which are impact-resistant and unaffected by gradual thermal changes up to 180 °C. Thanks to the high-quality stainless steel rim with an embedded silicone seal, water seepage or stress on the glass during heating is prevented. The glass lid lets you cook with a clear view.

A tight-fitting lid allows only minimal escape of the condensation heat that forms, speeding up the cooking process.

Practical features: pouring rim and measuring scale

Passionate cooking calls for the right cookware. Details make individual steps in the cooking process easier.

All Fissler stainless steel pots feature:

  • a pouring rim for easy and precise pouring and decanting of liquids such as sauces or soups - without drips or spills
  • a laser-etched measuring scale on the inside as a practical aid for convenient measuring of liquids

cooking pots with different volumes and heights

At Fissler, you get an exceptionally wide selection of stainless steel cooking pots. The range also includes tall pots that are ideal for preparing large portions. With their larger capacity, they offer enough space to cook for many people or to deep-fry food until crispy in plenty of fat. The high rim ensures that nothing splashes onto the hob.
