Original Fissler handles for the pressure cooker

Pressure cooker handles

Fissler offers high-quality handles as spare parts for many Fissler pressure cookers.
The pot body has two handles: a long handle and an opposing handle. This lets you grip the pots securely from both sides.
The lid handle also has a special function: it allows safe steam release after cooking time is over.

Guide to pressure cooker handles

Steam release function

Original Fissler handles for the pressure cooker

The ergonomic Fissler safety handle with locking indicator is part of the multi-stage Fissler safety system with patented pressure cooker technology. Together with

  • the Fissler cooking crown with traffic-light function for convenient pressure control,
  • the Euromatic cooking valve incl. gasket
  • and the special sealing ring

the handles ensure that the pot is safely and airtight sealed. Once the lid has securely clicked into place, which can be heard with a click at the handle, pressure starts to build and the cooking time begins.

This allows pressure to build safely inside the pot so food can be prepared faster and more gently.

Steam release function on the pressure cooker handle

Once the cooking time is over, the pressure cooker can be easily and safely vented using the steam release function on the handle. The Vitavit® Premium pressure cooker can also be conveniently vented via the cooking crown.

Info: How does pressure build up work? When heated, steam forms in the pressure cooker, allowing the oxygen that is harmful to vitamins to escape. Once the oxygen has escaped, the Euromatic cooking valve closes and pressure build-up begins. The cooking indicator shows the pressure in the pressure cooker.
