PHI = Form x Function: The new PHI collection from Fissler combines form and function at the highest level.
Idar-Oberstein, January 2024 – The Greek letter Phi symbolizes the number of the "golden ratio," the concept of balanced proportions in art, architecture, and design. German premium cookware manufacturer Fissler has chosen this magical number, found throughout nature, as its guiding principle for developing its new, exceptional cookware collection. In collaboration with Phoenix Design and some of Europe's most renowned product designers, Fissler has created cookware that combines form and function like no other: PHI.
As the kitchen and living area increasingly merge, new aesthetic spaces are opening up that go beyond a purely functional view of cookware. Preparing, cooking, and eating together also creates a lively space for communication and interaction, in which cookware plays an entirely new role. And that's where Phi comes in: in Fissler's new pot collection, pots are much more than utensils – they are part of the presentation. Design elements that enhance the look of a room. "Our idea and motivation was to create pots whose proportions and functionality embody balance, perfection, and beauty. In this way, not only cooking but the pots themselves become an art form. To meet the demands of perfection and harmony, our Fissler master craftsmen and cooking experts joined forces with the product designers at Phoenix Design, winners of numerous design awards, to develop the Phi Collection." – André Koch, Global Brand & Communication Manager at Fissler.
The result is distinctive, innovative, and multifunctional cookware. Made in Germany. Its extensive functionality and contemporary design make this product unique. Combined with high-quality materials, its design and proportions create the perfect balance for an efficient cooking process and a cohesive look on the dining table. It meets the demands of premium cookware and delivers a complete cooking experience.
The cookware is made from recycled premium stainless steel. The wide, distinctive handles improve ergonomics and complement the overall look of satin-finished stainless steel and glass. The handles do even more: they protect against heat, making the cookware easier to handle while cooking. Important features such as Downdraft, pouring rims, lid-hooking and stackability are seamlessly integrated into the design, with a refined, minimalist look despite their functionality.
"With the Fissler Phi Collection, Fissler's leading cooking experts deliver another standout. Since 1845, for more than 175 years, Fissler has been making premium cookware Made in Germany – always with the goal of inspiring passionate cooks. Fissler created this new pot series to meet the many needs of passionate cooks, including their expectations for design and functionality." – Sebastian Hahn, Global Head of Brand & Marketing at Fissler.
