Ingredients

200g Beans of your choice (dried)
1 Bay leaf
1 tbsp Salt
A few peppercorns
Water

Instructions

Step 1 of 6:

Soak the beans overnight in water. Be sure to consider that the volume of the beans will double. So don't choose containers that are too small. I always use about 200g.

Step 2 of 6:

The next day, drain the beans in a sieve.

Step 3 of 6:

In the pressure cooker, add the beans, 1 bay leaf, 1 tbsp salt, and a few peppercorns. Add water. The maximum fill level for beans should not exceed the 1/3 mark (which is clearly visible in the pot).

Step 4 of 6:

Put on the lid and lock it, set cooking level 3, and heat on the highest stove setting. When the yellow ring appears, turn down the temperature. When the green ring appears, the cooking time of 15 minutes begins (for thick, white beans). For smaller beans, 12 minutes of cooking time is sufficient.

Step 5 of 6:

Turn off the heat and let the beans slowly release pressure.

Step 6 of 6:

When the steam has escaped, let the beans cool in the liquid, then fill them into jars along with the liquid and store in the refrigerator.
