Pasta with berries – a surprising duo
Food pairing is still a popular topic among amateur and gourmet cooks. After all, the contrasting combinations open the door to new worlds of flavor and make even familiar aromas shine in a new light.
Summer combinations
Pasta is an all-time favorite, and we all know it with hearty Bolognese, creamy Carbonara, or vegetarian Napoli. But how about something sweet today? Especially in berry season, it makes perfect sense to reach for blueberries and the like to create a delicious flavor surprise.
The sweetness pairs well with the mild taste of the pasta; with a pinch of salt, this contrast is emphasized even more. A treat for the senses, because with this combination, you eat with your eyes too — the berry sauce looks so beautiful on the plate.
This quick pasta dish is definitely a summer recipe with wow factor at the table. And we think: it’s an absolute must-try!
