Fissler offers replacement lids for pots in various materials. For example, you can choose between Metal Lids and glass lids. Both Lid types stand out for their flawless material craftsmanship and optimal fit. Thanks to their practical benefits, they are ideal for replacing your old or lost lids with a durable product.

• Metal Lids from Fissler are made from up to 90% recycled 18/10 Stainless Steel and are primarily manufactured in Germany. They are especially robust, easy to clean, and oven-safe up to 230 °C. The stainless steel lids from the Original-Profi Collection® feature a Condensate Plus function, which lets you prepare ingredients in their own juices or with less added liquid. This gives you juicy, more flavorful cooking results without dilution.
• Fissler pot lids made of premium glass are impact-resistant and resistant to gradual thermal changes up to 180 °C. They allow convenient visual cooking without loss of aroma or energy. They also feature a high-quality stainless steel rim with an embedded silicone seal, preventing water ingress or stress in the glass during heating.

Did you know? Pot lids prevent steam from escaping the pot while cooking. By keeping the heat constant inside the pot, food cooks faster. That not only saves time, but also valuable energy. Whenever the cooking method allows it, Fissler therefore recommends cooking with the Lid closed.

This is how steaming works:The perforated insert causes the liquid in the pot to rise as steam through the perforations to the food being cooked. The hot steam collects on the lid and coats the food as it returns to the boiling water.
